The short version
Alfos (the app) collects nothing. Zero telemetry, zero tracking, no analytics. The app and your data stay on your Mac; the only network calls Alfos makes are a license check and app updates. (The AI assistant you connect still talks to its own provider; see below.)
This website (alfos.ai) uses anonymous analytics to measure traffic. That is it.
Website analytics
This website uses Google Analytics with the following settings:
- IP anonymization enabled
- No advertising features
- No personal data collected
- Analytics only load after you accept the cookie banner
If you decline cookies, no analytics script is loaded at all. We use this data only to understand how many people visit the site and which sections they read.
Cookies
This website uses one cookie:
- cookie-consent (localStorage): stores your Accept/Decline choice so we do not ask again. No expiration until you clear your browser data.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _gid). See Google's cookie policy for details.
Alfos (the app)
Alfos runs on your Mac. It sends no telemetry and does no tracking, and it has no analytics server. The only network calls it makes are checking your license and downloading app updates. Alfos does no AI thinking and holds no API key. It connects to the AI coding assistant you already run on your Mac (such as Claude Code or Codex) and gives it safe, approval-gated actions across your apps. Your mail, messages, files, and everything you ask it to do stay on your machine, and we have no access to any of it. Anything that assistant sends to its own AI provider is governed by that provider's policy, not ours.
