Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Alfos (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
What Alfos does
Alfos is a local tool harness for your Mac. It has no AI of its own and holds no API key. It connects to the AI coding agent you already run (such as Claude Code or Codex) and gives it a set of safe, approval-gated, logged actions across your Mac apps, on demand or on a schedule. Every irreversible action that runs through Alfos waits for your approval, and the agent can never approve its own.
Alfos runs on a Mac you own. It is not a sandbox around your AI agent: it governs the actions taken through Alfos, not whatever else you grant that agent (for example a raw shell), which remains governed by that agent's own permissions.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Obsidian IT Consulting SRL grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the App or any portion of it.
Free tier and purchase
Alfos has a free tier that reads, captures, tidies, and runs up to three automations, with nothing irreversible. It lets you evaluate the App in full before you ever pay.
- Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and is bought and activated inside the App.
- Pro is sold through Polar as the Merchant of Record. Polar handles payment, invoicing, VAT, and billing support on our behalf.
- Your Pro license is tied to your purchase and may be activated on the Macs you personally own.
- Updates are included for the lifetime of the current major version.

Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. macOS behavior, app scripting interfaces, and permissions are controlled by Apple and the apps you connect, and may change without notice; Alfos adapts on a best-effort basis. You are responsible for the autonomy posture and rules you set, and for the actions you approve.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Obsidian IT Consulting SRL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Privacy
Alfos collects no personal data and runs on your Mac. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is and is not stored on your device, and on the network calls the App makes.
Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the App's release notes. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively before the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
